First Try

So, my cousins Maria and Michelle both have set up awesome blogs to keep everyone here, there and everywhere up to date on their families, and specifically, their respective (and equally cute!) sons, Jake (Maria) and Lucas (Michelle). I thought we'd be able to scoot on this one... I don't like to set the bar too high and I figured once a blog of our own was out there, I would be obligated to keep it up to date. Then, my parents got their new computer (!) and hooked up to the internet (!) with a high speed connection(!!). And as I was showing my mom Michelle's and Maria's online handiwork, she asked the question -- "Why don't YOU have one of these?!?!" Ahhhh, busted. It really is a great idea, so I got online this week and got to work. Bear with me... I work in small chunks of time when Nora is taking a nap, so it might be a little while to get this all looking super fantastic.

Speaking of Nora, she is great. If you're checking this blog, I know that's pretty much all you need/ want to know! :) She's a very, very busy girl. We have been practicing walking and holding hands when we're out and about (and not in a hurry... she slows her pace waaaay down when we're at the store or outside). The concept was new to her a few weeks ago and she wanted nothing to do with it, especially if I wouldn't let her walk into the street on her own (what a mean mom). But the other day at Twelve Oaks Mall, the entire walk was a success. Since positive reinforcement goes a very long way with this little one, I kept telling her how she was doing such a good job. Every time I did, she would laugh like she was pretty proud of herself!

I'll get some photos of her up the next time I post... right now I don't know where to find either the camera or the cord to hook it up to the computer! Again, I know that's what you're after if you're here! If I've learned nothing else in the last 16 months, it's that everyone wants to see the baby!!

I knew it was just a matter of time before you started a blog! I think it's a great idea- It'll be fun for us to hear about the happenings on Edward Place, and hopefully it'll be fun for you too! Maybe I'll start a blog about Daniel, Juan, and the other rascals of 206! Seriously- You're off to a great start- the blog looks good! Keep it up...

Dudeski, well done, fine execution! Pics, pics and more pics, I can not get enough of them...just returned from California on the lovely red eye this am, visited big trees. This was a wondeful treat to find in my email. Nora looks happy, even though she does not like potatoes, which make me really happy. You and Brett look great too...what are your feelings about potatoes?
